GOLD PRODUCTION OF AUSTRALASIA.
The gold production of Australasia continues to expand, and from present indications the output for 1899 will show an increase of quite 600,0000z as compared with 1898. For the past month the production of West Australia, Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales combined amounted to 276,3080z5, as compared with 229,2240z in the corresponding month of last year, .thus exhibidßg an increase 'of 47,084cz.
