jL'he attention of wages men and contractors is called to the clause in " The ..^^iug Act, !«;>»," regarding the registration of liens. Wages men cannot register a lien for more than three months' wages, and a contractor xor any sum in excess of ,£IOO. In either instances the lien must be registered within seven days, and wages men's liens take precedence over those of contractors. Section 71 of the new Act deals fully with all matters affecting liens, and sub-sec-tion 7 thereof reads as follows: The lien may in the prescribed manner be registered in the Warden's.Court, and shall be void unless it is registered— In the case of a wages man, within .seven days after he cease his employment or the three months' wages become due, whichever event is the earlier; and (b) in the case of a contractor or sub-contractor within Beven days after the contract is completed or otherwise determined, or the one hundred pounds become due, whichever event is the earlier.
