Police Commission.

Wix£r»OToN, July 1. Messrs W. Kelly, M.L.0., andß. McKenzie, M.H.R., appeaAd before the Folice Commission this morning and gave aa emphatic denial to the statements of the witness Checkett's that they had shouted for him in certain hotels during prohibited hours. They denied that they were in. the hotels mentioned on the date quoted by Checkette, and further.added that even had they been there as stated, they were bvnaf4e travellers, and had done nothing to contravene the act. Mr Kelly said he had no recollection of seeing Checkette before he appeared before the Commission, and Mr McKenzie offered to call rebutting evidence, but Mr Wardell said it was j not necessary.
