Parliament Buildings.
Wellington, March 23
The alterations at the Parliament Buildings have involved the destruction oi the pohutukawa tree which atood in front of the old entrance, and ■was the only tree allowed to remain when the rest were cut down three or four years ago. It was planted by Mr Stafford in the early sixties, and was the larger of the two pohutikawas in "Wellington. The electric lights are in position, and work is going on briskly at the buildings.
