MANAGERS' REPORTS.

HAURAKI ASSOCIATED.

The manager reports under date of March 2let: " Footwali lead, No. 2 level: The ore now coming to hand from the No. 1 block la of very fair value, although not so rich as ft was last week. I expect better ore 'during the coming week. There is nothing fresh to report from the Nos. land 3 blocks. Ore of medium quality continues to be won, and the lead maintains its usual size and appearance. Rainbow End lead, intermediate level: Fair progress continues to be made with the eastern drive oh this section. The leader has greatly improved in value, and ore of a much better quality ia now coming to hand, I still have great faith that this leader will yet come to the front as a bullion producer. Niccol lead No. I level: I have again resumed operations on this lead, and have met with satisfactory results. The ore being broken now is of a fairly good quality. The lead looks most promising. No, 3 level: This' level is now in a total distance of 25ft The country being penetrated is most favorable for speedy driving. As per wire, I advised you that the last crushing resulted in 90 tons of ore being crushed for 3690zs melted gold. I anticipate the next return being up to the average." BAY VIEW (Kennedy's Bat). _ The manager reports :— " Holed winze through from No. 4 up to No. 3, but conld see no gold in extending No. 3 drive. ' Came across a patch of antimony stone, and secured abont 201bs showing fine gold in the rubble. Intend to forward this drive.to teat this class of country." EVENING STAR (Kennedy's Bay). The new low level drive is now in 10ft, and iii very nice looking country, chiefly decomposed andesite, with much loose quartz through it and carrying a lot of pyrites and iron oxie'e. In some of the quartz a few nice colors were obtained iv the dish... I like the appearance of the country, • and think that when we get further into the hill there is every prospect of getting a good reef. Some prospecting on the boundary between the Star and Flossie, in line with the Flossie leader, has been done, but cannot find any trace of this leader in our ground,
