The Silverstream Murder.

Wellington, March 22
A statement was made this afternoon that Pliilpntt had confessed to the murmur of' Hawthorne, but it is not confirmed. The statement came from good authority, but the Minister of Justice has no knowledge of any confession, and the authorities generally are reticent on the subject.
