(From Own Our Correspondent.)

A very enjoyable concert was held in the Puriri school-room recently in aid of the Brunnerton Relief Fund, and great praise is due to Mr F. Reg. Dodson, the promoter, for the able manner in which he carried out all details. Mr Cribb occupied the chair. The following programme was gone through : — Overture, Puriri Band ; solo, "TheLastMuster/'Miss Williams; solo, ■" Nea," Miss Donovan ; pianforte duet, Misses Elliot and Vos ; solo, The Hen Convention, Mr Vos (vvho cackled well!) ; solo, 4' Marguerite," Miss Donovan, and for an encore, " Happy Birds " (by request) ; pianforte duet, Misses D. and B. Power, " Canary Quadrille " ; Overture, Puriri Band ! solo, " Maggie's Secret," Mrs Brown ; solo, " Oh ! oh ! Hear The Wild Winds Blow," Miss Elliot, pianoforte solo, Miss Vos ; solo, " Nevermore," Mrs Vos ; " England Dear England," Mr C. McLiver; solo, " Anchored,' Miss Williams, and an encore, "Remember [Me no More ; vocal duet, "InThe Dusk of the Twilight," Misses Donovan and Power. Special mention is due to the Misses Power. Miss Donovan, and Miss Williams, for their services, considering the distance they had to come. Misses Power, and Vos, kindly played the accompaniments, and the singing of "God Says the Queen," brought-a highly enjoyable entertainment to a close.
