Capetown, April 13. Sir Hercules Robinson is despatching three hundred cavalry and two hundred of the Natal Mounted Infantry, besides a number of volunteers, against the Matabele rebels. April 1 -i. Sir H. llobinson is also raising a band of 250 Basutos for service against the Matabeles. Gifford fought iivo battles in four days at Sliilop. Ten maxims, each with 10,000 rounds or ammunition, have been purchased at Durban, and sent to the front. An exjilosion of dynamite in a store near G-welo killed over 100 natives who wert? pillaging a building.
