Wellington, April 13. The .<tipendary Magistrate at the Chatham Islands has written to the Marine Department stating that durin- the past month a quantity of wreckage has been cast ashore at the Island*. The wreckage conaste of planking, a piece oi decking, a boat, tank, si" large quantity of candles,, a cast of gin, and a rum cask. Nothing was found that could serve, to identity the vessel the Wreckage belonged to. The Hinemoa visits the Islands shortly to search for castaways and inspect fchefood depots
