The New Hall.—after the minutes of the previous meeting had been read and confirmed, the President congratuated the members at the attainment of a hail of their own, and expressed the opinion that it would eventually
prove a good investment. He might also add that when the news of the sad accident reached the Thames, he had. as President of the Union, telegraphed a message of condolence and sympathy to the Mayor of Brunnerton. If it was decided to vote a sum of £50, then it would be necessary to take a ballot of all the members at an early date.— On the motion of Mr Dare, seconded by Mr McDonnell, the sum of £50 was voted, the ballot of the members to be taken on Saturday, the 25th inst.
