A.J.C. AUTUMN MEETING.

(Sydney, April 11. There is glorious weather for the concluding day of the A J C. Autumn Meeting, and there is a large attendance. In the Steeplechase several horses fe'l, but none of the riders was seriously hurt. Wa'lace's downfall in the plate was a great surprise. The following are the resu'ts : — Kous Handicap, 1 mi'e 3 furlongs. Leouidar, Bst 1 Cravat, Bst 31b 2 ■ Grey Boy, Bstslb 3 Nine started. Betting: 3 to 1 against Wa hine, 7 to 2 Leonidar, 7 to 1 Patrona* There was a great race down the straight* Leonidar lasting the longest, and winning by a length. line, 2min 21secs.

Place Handicap, 1£ mile. The Enchanter, 7st 31b 1 Fort, 7st3>b 2 The Skipper. 7st 12 b .. ... 3 Nine s'arted As the horses swept into the straight they were all in a buach, but at the ha f distance Enchanter on the inside gradual y foived ahead, and repe ing a desperate challenge by the other placed horses, won by Ua'f-a-lengb, there being a head between the second and third. Resolute 1 Honiton ... .. 2 Gozo 3 Eesolute jumped away with the lead and led all the way, winning by threequarters of a length, the same distance being between the second and third. Time lmin 19secs. A J.C. Pxatk, distance 3 miles. The Harvester (Huxlam) ... I Fort (Nerriker) 2 Wallace (Gough) 3 The other starters were Valiant and Cabin Boy. Beting : 2 to 1 against Wa'lace, 3 to 1 Harvester, 6 to 1 Vaiant, and 10 to 1 the others. Cabin Boy was the first away, followed by Fort and Wallace. After travelling a couple of furlongs Fort was tat en to the fro<t and led the first time round, the Harvester being last. The pace afe this time was very sow. On the second round Wallace and Valiant were racing on terms with Fort, and there was no material change till fairly in the straight, when, as the leaders reached the St. Leger stand The Harvester crept up on the inside, and with a great rush c-.it down the leading division and won easily by Eve lengths, Fort being a length ahead of Wa lace. Time O'inin 17sees. FiNAL Handicap, distance li mile. Hindoo, 7st 2>b 1 Patroness, 7st 31b... ... ... 2 Lord Leigh, 7st 4 b 3 Twenty-one started. The field bunched as they came into the straight, but at the half distance Hindoo came away and won by a length. Time 2min 11 sees.
