AUCKLAND MATCHES
(BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, April 13.
The senior (Auckland v. Gordon) and first junior (Parnell li. v. North Shore) championship fixtures were continued on the Domain cricket ground on Saturday afternoon. The weather was none too promising, and the wickets were, in consequence of the recent rains, somewhat sticky, and hardly what might be considered favorable to run getting. In the senior match, Gordon essayed the task of securing 161 runs and the premiership. This they failed to do, only scoring 111, Auckland thus proving ! victorious, the result leaving Auckland, Paruell, and Gordon level, though it is questionable as to whether any more [ matches will be played to decide the premiership. | The jun or charopionsliip wa.a won , by Parnell 11. This victory gives Paruell 11. the first junior champion- j ship with a. record of seven matches j played, six •£ which were won and one ' lost.
