Tho following team has been selected lo play against Wellington on Saturday at Lancaster Patk :—Full, S. Orchard; Liner-quarters, J. O'Brien, A. Hobbs, and F. J. Cowlisbaw ; five-eights, A. E. White ; half-back, A. B. Cock ; wingforwards, Loram and A, Johnson ; forwards, M. Lynskey, B. Frost, H. Fanning, A. Kerr, J. Soffe, J. D. Fraser, and Gco. Duke. Considering the amount of material available it is as strong a one as Canterbury can put in the field. .The clubs represented are linvvood, IVlerivale, Cbristchurch, |Kaiapoi, and Korth Canterbury.
