(Pea Peess Association.) • Wbllingtjn, Last night. *&- This afternoon Andrew and Joseph Kennedy, Joseph Jewett, and Robert Gawn were charged with the murder of Louie Smith. Dr. Stewart, of the Hospital, considers that the wounds sustained by .Smith would not necessarily have caused death, but might have done so. There was rio opium giren her in the hospital, but morphia was injected twice. Brandy was also administered. Af ergaret Cora Batting, a nurse at the Hospital, said that Smith tojd her that her wounds were the result of a pure accident. The patient had a craving for opium. Andrew Kennedy and Joseph Jewett were committed for trial on the. charge of murder, Joseph Kennedy and Robert Gawn beiDg discharged from custody.
