THE TEACHER'S TEXT. » '• , Out, from a box of letters, • \ A girl with a winsome face;, Watched by the eager children Patiently put into place. Only a text so simple, - But the angels pure, above 5 - H«ihoed the dear young voices ', Murmuring " God is Love." Years have fled, and teacher - Who passed with the flowers.awi Walks no more with the living: And her.scholars—where.are thq Grown to the yea^a ,of manhood; j^_ Abroad in the world's rottgh'ways Smiling over the mem'ry Of their happy childish days. > Clear, thro' their pleasant babel Comes a voice they used'to knowEven the girlish teacher • They parted from long ago—, Once more the box of letters / On the table seems to stand, - They see the words made from then By the little blue veined hand.'- -■ She " being dead, yet speaketh."
