At the sitting of tbe Resident Magistrate's Court, before H. Eyre Keuny Esq. R.M, a young man named George Muir sued his brother, Richard Muir, for maintenance under the Destitute Person's Act 1887. Complainant stated that he lost one of his arms through an accident in the Cambria battery about three years ago, and he was now uuable to support himself through . being unable to get suitable employment. His brother, who was older than himself, was earning 7s 6d a day as a miner at Kuaotunu. His Worship made an order directing defendant to contribute the sum of 10s per weak for the complainant's maintenance, the first instalment to be paid on the 19th inst
