Reckless Use of Firearms.
A WOMAN SHOT.
(Pbess Association.)
Wellington, This day. An example of the evil results of the reckless use of firearms occurred last night. Some women were in a house in Arthur street, one of whom was nursing a baby on her lap which was | playing with a revolver. The mother took it up, pointed it at the window, and snapped, when it went off without result. Her sister then had a try, aiming at the doorway, and shot Mrs Bowder, a young woman who was entering. The ballet struck her on the jaw,, inflicting a nasty wound, and she had to be taken to the Hospital
