INSIST ON DISMISSAL OF

BLACKLEGS.

A NEWSPAPEE MAN MOBBED.

London, July 9. The postmen are willing not to go out oa strike before the 21st inst. providing the blacklegs at present employed are dismissed. They intimate that deliveries will be refused to-day if blacklegs are still employed.

A meeting of four thousand postmen was held at Camberweli, Surrey, at mid* night, when complaints were made of numerous blacklegs being concealed in the vaults of the Central Office. The men agreed to refrain from attendance at every office until notified that the whole of the blacklegs bad been dismissed. The Secretary of the Union advised the men not to injure the blacklegs in any way, bnt endeavor to gain redress in a peaceful manner. The sorters have joined the Union. Mr Pearse, correspondent of the Daily News, was mobbed as a spy. July 10. A hundred men, who joined in attacking the blacklegs engaged in the parcel department of the Post Office, have been dismissed. The postal authorities decline to pledge themselves not to employ additional labor until the 21st inst., and believe that the postmen will be forced to yield. Any how, the officials are confident they will be able to conduct the service for two days. Lateb. Mail deliveries are clayed owing to the trouble in several distinct offices. A hundred postmen at Leicester Square have been dismissed. London, July 10. DUBLIN COAL STEIKE ENDED. The masters having conceded the demands of the Dublin coal porters, the strike has ended.
