Considerable excitement was caused at Portsmouth by tho ordering of tlic InniskilliDg Rifles to London. The order was however countermanded. The authorities admit that the Grenadiers who mutinied were overworked. Lord Salisbury, referring to the matter in the House of Lords, said it was unimportant and accidental. The Hon, Mr Stanhope. Secretary for War, is inquiring into the outbreak.
