AUCKLAND.—This day.

The Samoan Trouble.

Among the houses burnt by the Germans.at Samoa are a number on land which recently formed the subject of dispute between Manaema and McArthur and Co. These houses were owned and leased by British subjects. Preliminary notices and claims for damages have been prepared by Mr W. J. Napier for service on the German Consul-General in Australia, and Commodore Hensner at Samoa. The claims will also be forwarded to the Foreign Office in London.
