Illicit Still.

The distillation case, Customs versus Mathews and Bell, is proceeding. Tbe possession of the still-hend in the loffc of the house, of the still itself io the stabie, and the presence of stools, casks, whisky, etc , at a spot some half a mile from the bouse and connected with it by a dray track, were all proved. Inspector JBroham was cross-examined unsuccessfully for the purpose of showing that the still produced was not well enough made to to be used for tbe purpose of distilling.
