CAMBEIA. The battery recently purchased by this company has during the past few days been completely overhauled, and the necessary repairs having been completed, a trial took place at 12 o'clock to«day, when everything worked very 'satisfactorily. DEEP LEVEL CROSS. ' In breaking down the footwall leader, which is 3 or 4 inches in thickness, gold was seen preety freely. In rising upon, the crosslode, solid quartz is coming to hand, and a regular supply of payable crushing dirt from this locality may now be expected. EOCKY POINT. There are three stopes in progress, and there is yet a length of about 90ft. to be stoped out. Colors of gold are seen in the. stringers. Crushing will probably be commenced next week. KUKANUI HILL. A considerable portion of this company's ground has been let on tribute, about 60 men now being employed. Five tribute parties are at work below the tunnel level. GOLD KETUEtfS. Dart.—Deeble and party's crushing yielded 7ozs 6dwts gold. Kxjbatjni HiLii.—A crushing for Gorden and party produced 6ozs 6dwts gold. Hape Creek.—A tribute parcel of Bozs 3dwts has been banked from this district.
