Statue to General Gordon.

A large and enthusiastic meeting was held in the Town Hall last night to institute a movement for the erection of a statue to the late General Gordon. A resolution was unanimously adopted ap» proving of the project, and a large number of subscriptions were produced among those present, who numbered fully 4.000.

The Sank Robbery at Horsham,

The prisoners Alexander Koss and Milne Smith, who were recently arrested on a charge of being concerned in an extensive robbery from the London Chartered Bank at Horsham in March, 1884, were examined yesterday, and remanded for further endence.
