• MedicaL _ ' ___ — FIRST PRIZE A.A. awd P.A. EXHIBITION, 1883.— .£I,OOO BEWAED.—Caution. 'jSLskfor-Hitbheus's Blood Restorer, THE GIiEAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOR CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. * -\ mHB Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for come time pushed .the sole, of the above, X would state that he received such ft eerious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent Btock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and he has not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able tG satisfy all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to adouinister aa extensively, as he could have desired to the wants of a suffering 1 world. MR HITOHENS is now happy to state that he is once again in a position to supply this health-gifing Medicine, which he ia convinced will, " with the blessing of God," cure almoeL any disorder, owing to its irresistible »yet gentlo operation, la coming before the public and planting bia standard once more on the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind— i.e., sickness—he trußta that an overruling' Providence will'bless his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's Stab appear a few, of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitohem, on* of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than to say that bis il!ne»B was of a most severotype, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here ia what Captain Fabqtthab says of JLTITCHENS' BLOOD RESTORER :— ' Anckland, October 15,. 1883.—Dear Sir,—For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I.was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, und I have much pleasure in testifying that aftar taking it for three, mooths I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faitb in it at first, but the result was euch a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknorledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabquhab, Master Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Kitchens, Esq, j The Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his Medicine hae been over estimated. ■** The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons wbr dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. Ho is aleo willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attpr.ded the patients and have pronounced them incurable, arid answer questions put relative to the facts of the oases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledgment would add increased brilliancy to the fame of the medicine. —: —— Mr Axes. Eacujltow, Hairdresser, of' Queen Btreet, Auckland, suffered with & paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The dectbrs pronounced the case hopelosa, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchens's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better ; and on continuing to take the medicino, he waa completely restored to health and strength. , ♦ Mr D. R. Chisbolm, Agent for Mr HitcheM. —Dear Sir, —It is with heartfelt th&nki I am able to endovee the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens'a invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Diaher, who spoke in eulogistic terms of its merits, to place my wife (who was Btiffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should impress upon these who are similarly suffering not to ovorlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAS BROWN, Britlania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. HiTCHEliS.—Sir,—I had been for five years suffering'from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in Iho Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off "Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Me Hkokbhs. —Dear Sir, —As you have aeked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restoror, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know j but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted liko a baby, and my tasta was entirely gone.. ,Dr ■ ■ said I had au affection of the Bpine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to Bee me, and I was told that I would probably- live only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out'false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my. husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Restorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I beganto feela change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result iB that after using eight bottles^ I ana now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite as well as when I first come to Kew Zealand five yeara ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had, not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear oir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to I the perfect accuracy of the above statement.—N. McMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A. H. From Symes and Co., Pharmaceutical Chemists, Medical Hall, Simla, January 5, 1680] To J. T. Davenport, Esq., 33, Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury, London.—"Dear Sir, —W • embrace this opportunity of congratulating you 1 upon the wide-spread reputation this justly esteemed medicine, Db. Coilis Bbowke's Chlobodxne, has' earned for itself, not only in Hindostan, but all over the Eaßt. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether a better is imported into the country, and we Bhall be glad to hear of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, we are bappy to say, are now relegated to the native bazaars, and, judging from their sale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply instances ad innnil m of theextraordinary efficacy of Db*--Coins Bbowne's Chiobodxnb in Diarrhoea. and- Dyi^ntery, Spasms, Cramps, Neuralgia, the Vomiting of Pregnancy, and as a general sedative, that navo occurred under our personal observation during many years. In Choleraic Diarrhoea, and even in the more terrible form* of Cholera itself, we have witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of,this medicine than Collie Browne's, from a firm conviction that it » deoidedly the beßt, and also from a sense of duty we owe to the profession and the public, a* we are of opinion that the substitution of any other than-Collis Browne's is; a dslibbbaxb BBEAOH OS FAITH ON THE PAST OP THE CHEMIST TO PBESOBIBBB AND PATIENT AXIKB.
