Eeferring to the notice in our last issue re Naval Brigade inspection on Monday evening last, we omitted to notice that after the close of Major Withers', inspection, prizes for regular attendance were presented to Bandsmen Feeney, Kevin, and Patterson., A picture of H.M.S. Curagoa, which 'was most beautifully worked in«j silk; by* Miss Reddy, of the Karaka JJoad-.-i was in accordance with her wish, presen- i ted by the Captain on her behalt to the Brigade. This picture, which is not for competition, is to be retained by the corns pauy and hung in their drill hall. TJie brigade, in recognition of Miss Rrddy's kindness and generosity, passed a cordial vote of thanks, and created her a life hon. member of the brigade*. We understand .-.-that'the., brigade resolved upon inviting the rest of our local companies to-take • part in.their, church parade on Sunday next., .The Captain also warned the companythat'< he usual quarterly competition for the Darling Cup, anfl fdr-aggregate prjfesj will: take place popfSatiirday, commencing at 9 aim. and Ip.m. sharp.
