(To the Bditor of the Brening Star.) Sib,—For the information of a " A friend of th« Orphanage," I respectfully state—That Mr P. Tetley gave a large ham, unsolicited; that at my solicitation, Mr O. D. Grant, a 141b tin of fancy biscuits; M. Browne and Co., a ham; Mr J. JSieaniei 41ba of lollies; J. W. Sherlock, Mlbs of corned beef; while the other thinga required,for the feast we^e provided by the Committee at their prirate expense; and for the information of all friends of the institution X may state that I shall be glad at all times to receire anything they may feel disposed to give for the Orphanage or its inmates.— lam, &c, ' ■■ John B.
