GISBORNE.

This day. Eight natives were arrested last week for riot and forcible entry on lands leased by the late Captain Bead's estate. They were committed to take trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court. Mr Sees defended the prisoners, and it came out in court that Mr Bees had desired them to take the action, they did in order to assert their rights to the land. Had the natives hot been prevented they would hare taken possession of several runs. A. strong feeling prevails here against the Repudiation Party for exciting the minds of the natives.
