: The City Council, at; a V meeting last night, resolved to take action to procure authority to raise! a loan of £10,000. for street improvements. ". /v' ;/'.•'. Several representatives have -arrivfed; whilst most frotn the North* Will:;"irriva; to-night, and from the Spilth on Saturday morning. The whole of the butts and targets are finished, and tents will be set up to-mor-row. The camp will be within a few yards of the railway line. Special trains will run during the meeting.^ Everything will be ready for commencing-firing on the advertised date. It is anticipated that a telegraph station will be opened there, as it merely needs the wire to be attached and led into a tent.
