The manager recently Jet a contract for some 150 feet of driving. This drive is for a leader nearly opposite the old ShotoVer workings,,and some two or three weeks ago waj worked by Catran and party, a. lo.t of .tributers, who had a splendid return from it. . The company is now working U with 10 .men—some engaged sinking a winge, and others patting in a crosscut to intersect it. below where worked by the tributers. It will probably pay well. At the 640 feet level the No. 1 lode has split into two sections, but it may be expected to come together again. The manager has men prospecting for the ,N t o., 3'lode which was cut off by a hard bar. The tributers Catran aud party are now I
working on two leaders each three or four inches thick, but so far have not come on anything very rich. They will be oruibing again when the battery starts, which wifi be sometime before Christmas. The tributers, McDonald and party, have finished their crushing for the field of 3ozs 7dwts gold.
