RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT THIS DAY.
(Before W. Fraser, Esq., 11.M.) DBTJNKENNESB. Michael Glennon and Edward Silk were charged with being drunk and incapable, and were lined 10s each and costs. John Barker was fined 20s and costs for being drunk and disorderly. ASSAULT. Charles Jones was charged with unlawfully assaulting Peter Whelan on board the cutter Sarah, on the 26th.
This was a dispute about the custody of a boat, belonging to Whelan, who went on board and was assaulted by Jones, who was renting the boat, and contended that his term had not expired. Defendant admitted the offence, and was fiued 20s and costs, or three days' imprisonment.
YAGBANT DOGS.
Alex. Smith, Riohrrd Sweeney, WilHam Adams and Henry Clinker were severally charged with being tke owaers of doigs and allowing same to be at large without collars for current year being affixed.
Fined 5s each and costs.
