The retorting for the company took place at the company's battery today, and the yield obtained amounted to 2210zs retorted gold. This return shows a decrease on the yield of the/last fortnightly retorting, but nevertheless it is a pretty fair one. The amount of quartz reduced was 460 tons, chiefly taken from the low level. The gold has been lodged in the Bank of Kew Zealand,'where it will be melted on Monday. From a crushing of three loalds of quart* finished at the company's battery yestarday morning, Teasdale and party, the tributers of the Point Russell section, obtained the fair yield of 6ozs I7dwts 12grs gold.. . . . , . : . .
