TAURANGA.

Wednesday

Mr 'W, Kelly addressed the electors last night and declared against Separation. He was prepared,'if Separation was carried, to propose Tauranga or Taupo for the seat of Government. He received a unanimous vote of thanks. Kelly's friends are rallying, but the contest here will be hardly fought. This morning's local paper contains Capt. Read's address to the electors. Kelly leaves after the nomination for Gisborne via the Coast.

The nomination is over. Kelly, Morris, Read and Maihi were the candidates duly proposed.
