A deputation wailed on Sir George Grey at Kawau, and secured his consent to contest the Thames election. He will proceed to the Thames to-morrow. Mr Macdonald is understood to have retired. Some other Grey candidate will be nominated, probably Kobert Graham, unless a local supporter comes forward.
