The Moanatairi is looking- -pretty brisk at present. *r The; Tramway battery is crushing-with six head of stampers for the Golden Galf G.M.Co., and isijust clearings up after: ;a crushing of 23 tons for Kelly's tribute, which has' yielded Sayablo gold. The term; of the Slack Angel tribute '(Wingate and Wil■cox) has expired, but has been renewed until December, 1876. Messrs Wingate andWilcox have been very fortunate during; the past year. The Ceiitral Italy hare : obtained some nice looking specimens, and; gold is occasionally seen above the creek \ revel. Above the Central Italy. ,th<3 tram- i wayisin a wretched state, the. mud being; ancle deep on the road,-; and :tHe side: boards of .the tram itself are; inVa rotten; condition. Another thing noticeable is the; number of batteries, which have,.ceased? work; and - the' £reat amount of -unused i gear. ' Thelandslip, to which-we referred in a previous issue of this paper, is now! -almost cleared away, but about 35 feet of the tramway has been carried "off the. trestles by the weight of the slip.
