FraWEsq.; BlM^ ::b .•_. ,BTEALiN.a ; Br.A ;i Bar. s^^- ■ John Quadri (a small boy) was charged with feloniously stealing, on the Ist day of December, one fowl of the value of! 2»a from the premises of Catherine Howell. He was also charged with stealing two rabbits, the property of the same person, of the value of 4s. He pleaded guilty to taking the fowl, but not the rabbits. Mr Bullen asked permission to with* draw the second charge. In answer to the Bench the young do* fendant said he sold the fowl for Is 6dand spent the money. Mr Bullen said defendant was only charged with stealing one fowl, but Mrs Howell had lost six. The boy said he was eight years' of age, ■ "'.,' The Bench ordered the youngster to be imprisoned for 24 hours, and to be once privately whipped.
