The Kutt Races. The day turned out beautifully fine, but there were comparatively'few people. The Governor arrived upon the ground about noon. Hutt Park Stakes of 50 soys., one mile and a-half. Eleven entries. The following were scratched :—Guy Fawkes, Tattler, Cloth of Gold, Templeton, Lady Grey, Castillian. Before starting Princess Mary boiled and went the distance before being pulled up, but ranged up for another ' start. The first quar-. j tei\ of a mile Voltaire threw ' his rider, who seemed to be about to rise off the ground when to all appearance one of the other horses trod upon him, and he wa3 carried-, off the course. Princess Mary cut out the running, leading Phoenix and Cocksure six or seven lengths. Haphazard was behind from the first and had no show.. Upon nearing the straight, Cocksure overhauled Princess easily, followed by Phoenix, and then led both at the straight by several lengths and won by eight lengths, Pbcenix second, Princess Mary third. , ■■■■:■■■■'
Doctor Diver attended to the boy who was thrown, who, it turnod out, had^his thigh broken. .:
