Siß,--In your notice of the "Heir-at-Law," in last night's issue, you refer to Miss White and Miss Brookes as being "borrowed for the occasion from the Thames Dramatic Club," Now, considering that the gentlemen of* the " Thames Cricketers' Amateur Dramatic-,Club" solicited the assistance of these ladies, I think a better expression could have been used as a recompense for such assistance. —I am &c. . [Not being of the Thames Cricketers' Dramatic Club or the Thames Dramatic Club we were quite in ignorance of the circumstances under which the ladies referred to appeared. It was "by request" we mentioned that the T.C.D.C; were under a compliment to the T.D.C. for the appearance of Misses White and Brookes, to the phraseology of which interpolation Mr Loveday now.takes exception."—EdA
