This day. Requisitions, it is said, will be presented to.Mr E. B. Cargilland MrW. J. Larnach, asking them to stand for the
city. It is also rumoured that on the other.
side Mr Macandrew, Mr J. Hyde j Hawii and Mr Geo. Turnbull will be put
forward ; while it is understood Mr H. S. I Fish, jun., will stand on a Government ticket. G. McLean will again stand for Waikouaiti, but L. D. Eich is spoken of as \a probable candidate against him. Macashew; (? M'Glashan) is spoken of as ) candidate for Wakatipu, andE. H. Leary and. Smithers (P Smythies) for Mount Ida.
