FRIENDLY SOCIETIES DEMONSTRATION.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)

Sir,t-I see by yesterday's Advertiser that the lesees of the Parawai gardens in the most-liberal manner have given the use of their grounds for the Hospital demonstration on Boxing Day. .Can you kindly tell me if in addition to the gates, they give the right to erect booths, stalls, &c. for the day, as this is a large source of revenue. Should the lessees reserve this right (which I hear they do), I can't see anything very magnanimous on their part in giving only the right to money taken at the gates. Yours truly, . Inquires. Grahamstown, November 5,1875.
