GALEDONIAN.
Tho rise from No. 2 level is not quite through, tho rock being very hird, and will take a few days yet. No further portion of the lode in the drive northward has been shot down, but men have been placed itb continue tne 1 stope from the Cure boundary, a few shots having been put in, some of the stone showing gold. This will be continued, and in a short time stoping on the upper part of the reef will be well in hand, securing the run of gold as* found in putting in the: drive. The new cross-lode intersecting No. 5, has been sufficiently opened to prove that it is altogether a new feature in the winze, and of a most protnising description of stone of large size,^containing abundance of minerals indicative of the presence of gold, and in a few of the stones gold is visible.
