October 16. The Government decided to prorogue Jon the 19th'for a short recess, 'and then re-introduce a Stamp Bill. In: the meantime they will take the expression of public opiu.ion^ The Land Bill and Eeal Property Bill have been abandoned. The revenue returns are very" satisfactory, the largest receipts ever taken being during the week.
