COKOMANDEL. This day. Tokatea.—The manager reports little news of importance, a. few pounds of picked stone from the Siege level, with gold showing in No 1 rise. Gold is also seen in tue stope in No. 3 ri-ie. Start sending quartz to Bennett's battery. lioyal Oak.—The manager reports ISo. 1 leader still yielding gold from the stopes. He expects in a lew days to reach a part where the ricb stuff was taken out, when it is likely good stone will be obtained. Union Beach. —iNothing new from the mine. Wangapoua.— The Albatross has arrived from Napier, and is loading for Auckland. The Arcadia is expected from Napier and tbe Glance from Tauranga. The Fanny, Kose, and Wanderer from Auckland have arrived. 180 logs were got this morning. Great inconvenience is felt in the Government school at the want of promptness on the part of the Education Board in not forwarding books.
