We have been favored by E. H. Power, Esq., Registrar, with the following return of births, deaths and marriages for the Shortland District for the quarter ended 30th September, 1875 :— BIETHS. Males ... ... 78 . . Females ... ... 80 158 • DEATHS. Males ... ... 31 Females 19 ' 50 . Marriages ... 13 ■ During the above period there were 130 vaccinations. Of the death 26 were those of children.
