The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. , Parti* cipatioh in Profits t is authorised by the Legif lature to be given to Policy-holders. . 2-Premium rates are lower ttoqK those of Private Companies. v 3—No Policy or Medical Peea charged, r 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for" the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss* —Insurers, after having paid three full an* nual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not) ess than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for aßy reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in* amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Eenewal Premiums." • 7—Liberal conditions a» to-tend* ling and residence. B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy.—An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, lend'fide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or ineblvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven yean, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. / 9—Married women may effect Poiicies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and thfir Policies nre protected from the debts of their husbands, according to dura* tion, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies--^Policies effected fi.r the benefit of the wife and •children of .the Insured ar« absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the vxteht of £2000, provide that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years.
