The Chamber of Commerce dinner last night was very successful, Mr Jeffrey, president, in the chair. The ActingGovernor and Chief Secretary were present. Mr W. A. C. A'Beckett represented the Government in the Upper House.

The City Councildecided at a meeting yesterday, not to let the Town Hall for Sunday entertainments. The Mayor and some other members thereupon resigned from the Town Hall Committee. In the Divorce Court yesterday judicial separations were granted in Brown v. Brown and Benlow. and Widborne. In both cases the parties were married in New Zealand. „, , The bank exchange clerk Flynn has been committed for trial.
