Between 1 and 2 o'clock, a miner named P. Ferguson, engaged in the rise on the crosg-leader, whilst preparing to put; in a 'stick^of timber as support, received a wound in his leffcjeg/ caused by a'fSece ojF rock falling upon it. The bleeding,, Vas excessive, and the man taken t^.tlife Hospital, 1 where the _wound was dreeaied, and with some difficulty the hemorfbiige. stayed. A short time will probat^se^him on his legs again.
