Workmen are busy in driving on the foot wall side of the Cure lode, but the reef is left intact. Operations are also being carried on with the rise from No. 2 level, to effect a junction with the lode ; this, however, will occupy time, as the distance will be above IQQ feet, but when complete will enable the lqde to be brqken down and handled with greater facility than by working it from No. 1 level. The rise is going up on the hanging wall Side <if a well defined strong body of quarts, ■•■.-..
