Accident on the Tramway.
FATAL TERMINATION—COXONEIt'S INQUEST.An inquest was held at the Post OJfice Hotel-to-day before DrKilgour, Coroner,, ,aada respectable jary, to investigate $he :,cwcumstances connected with the death sf»-little'girl named Emily Williams,, who; sustained severe injuries qn the i Karaka Tramway on Saturday morning last, (full particulars of which we hare already published). Mv B. Hudson was chosen foreman of ■the Jury. Ihe evidence regarding the circumstances of the accident agreed in ' 'the* main with the detailed account which appeared ,in these columns. The medical testimony was to the .effect that death resulted from shock to the nervous system consequent upon the ex-' tensive lacerations of the leg, and that there was no rallying of the vital powers since the accident. A verdict in accordance with the evidence was returned.
