ROSS.
Saturday. At a meeting last night, the following resolution was passed :—" That this meeting strongly approves of the Abolition of the Provinces throughout New Zealand, and trusts that the bill giving effect to the saiie may become law this session. That, in the opinion of this meeting, the Local. Government Bill should provide that a miner's right should be. a qualification for exercising the franchise at a road board election."
