DUNEDIN.

Tuesday. By the fire at the Princess Theatre this morning, Mr Steele loses a wai'drobe of the value .of £190; Mr Keogh, £150; and Mr Darrell, £150. _ They play at the Queen's '.Theatre to-night in "Leah." Leach loses all his music, and West his piano, valued at £60. The Fire Brigade worked splendidly; -had they not done so, the conflagration would have been teivific. Hec'.es and Mcßeth's store, next to the theatre, with £9,000 worth of goods inside, was saved by the most strenuous exertions. Mr Darrell also lost a lot of manuscript plays. Mr Sibbald intends rebuilding the theatre immediately. Strange to say, only four hours before the theatre was destroyed, the Fire Brigade, at a meeting, had decided to disband, owing to indifferent support accorded by the City Council.
